As shown on this particular map, the Travis Heights neighborhood is bordered on the West by Congress Avenue and its eclectic mix of local restaurants, vintage and new clothing shops, home-grown grocers, and people watching opportunities. The neighborhood itself is composed of a diverse mix of architetual styles, with homes generally expensive ($400k+). The neighborhood is distinctly upper middle class and strongly progressive/democratic, as evidenced by the frequency of such bumper stickers seen on the residents' cars and the reported voting results for the 78704 ZIP code in the most recent election (heavy democrat).
